DESCRIPTION:Creative Samford is excited to present the Samford and Surrounds ArtsTrails 2023. Every weekend in June\, artisans will open their studios and venues for visitors to view and purchase unique\, handmade\, stunning works of art and crafts. \nMy studio will be open every weekend in June as part of the Arts Trail\, which is one of my favourite local events. Each piece of work I make has a story and I love to share these stories with visitors\, and talk about how pieces are made. You can also purchase your favourite piece\, or a special gift for a special someone while you’re here. \nI would love you to come and visit. \nThe beautiful studio guide book showing where and when to find the artisans is available now at the Slab Hut in John Scott Park in Samford or view the booklet online here. \nCreative Samford is working to bring artists together for the common good of Samford and surrounds creative community. We want to make the arts visible and see Samford and surrounds become renowned as a creative place to visit\, do business in and live.

Wool tops\, bumps of natural wool. Silk threads and yarns. Frames and canvases\, trestle tables with raisers. Fancy yarns for felting. DESCRIPTION:Sharyn Hall and Wendy Bailye  \nThe Sanctuary of Meraki: (may-rah-kee) (adj): to put something of yourself into your work. \nThis joint exhibition\, by Brisbane based textile artists Sharyn Hall and Wendy Bailye\, has allowed each artist to delve into the essence of their creativity. \nReferencing their individual personal narratives\, they have constructed a body of work\, through joint conversations and individual explorations\, finding sanctuary in their creative practice. These imaginative works explore the textures\, colours and patterns of the natural and botanical worlds\, and bring to life stories and images from personal journeys and travels. \nThe individual art practices of these artists have created an exotic environment where the viewer is drawn into a world of inspiration and creativity – the Sanctuary of Meraki. \n  \nTuesday to Friday 10am – 2pm \nSaturday 10am – 1pm \nCLOSED ON SUNDAYS AND MONDAYS \n
