“Sometimes I need only to stand wherever I am to be blessed.” — Mary Oliver.
The original textile artwork was inspired by the beautiful poetry of Mary Oliver and the local Australian birds that visit my country garden daily. Mary Oliver’s words were especially relevant in 2021 when I made this piece. Many of us have had time, through difficult world circumstances, to reconnect with the richness of our home life and the beauty of nature. This piece embodies this sentiment.
The original pieces are four panels of machine-stitched textile collages made from recycled silk and cotton fabric, botanical prints from my garden, handprinted, handmade paper, and digital images on rice paper, measuring approximately 10 x 140cm each.
Materials: High quality archival print from original textile collage artwork, professionally photographed and reproduced on archival fine textured art silk paper.
This item is a fine art reproduction of the original 4 artwork panels. The prints are signed, and professionally printed in Australia. They look just like the textile work with shadowy borders and loose threads that make the prints look just like the original pieces. The photo capture is professionally done by a local fine art printer, resulting in beautiful detail and accurate colours. For longevity, the print should be framed well. They are available in three sizes made to fit standard frame sizes. I hope you enjoy them!
