Be inspired by this unique exhibition and Pop-Up Shop of exclusive contemporary textiles, jewellry, and art. Local Brisbane artists, Sharyn Hall and Wendy Bailye create exceptional quality, handmade and hand-fashioned work that is guaranteed to have the WOW factor!
Both are well recognized in their respective fields as contemporary artists – Sharyn specialises in textile surface design, mixed media, and silversmithing; Wendy works as a felt maker and artist. Enjoying long-standing international careers in the arts, they are at an age when their best work is being showcased after decades of experience, learning, and teaching.
Much of their work is inspired by travels and life experiences and both artists will be present at the exhibition to talk about their artworks.
Wild Things combines an exhibition of quality contemporary art and textiles with a pop-up shop. You can select from unique works on silk, cotton, wool, metal, wood, and paper created with a variety of techniques including felting, stitching, dyeing, printing, forging, painting, texturing, and embellishment.
The studio de-stash area will be stocked with textile treasures, art supplies, samples, and seconds, sold at bargain prices with new items added daily. In its 12th year, this wonderful creative event is not to be missed! Join the artists at their exhibition.
